Herr Guido Adam ist seit 2009 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Konstruktions- und Antriebstechnik (KAt) in der Fakultät für Maschinenbau der Universität Paderborn. Er erhielt sein Diplom im Bereich Maschinenbau von der Universität Paderborn. Die Schwerpunkte waren Konstruktionstechnik und Produktenwicklung. Guido Adam arbeitet in enger Kooperation mit dem Direct Manufacturing Research Center (DMRC) der Universität Paderborn. Den Schwerpunkt seiner Forschung bildet seit 2010 die Erarbeitung von Konstruktionsregeln, die eine fertigungsgerechte Gestaltung additiv zu erzeugender Bauteile unterstützen. Guido Adam wirkt als stellvertretender Vorsitzender der VDI-Arbeitsgruppe FA 105.3 an der Erarbeitung der VDI-Richtlinie 3406 „Additive Fertigungsverfahren, Rapid Manufacturing – Konstruktionsempfehlungen Grundlagen“ mit.

Frank Beckmann hat Maschinenbau mit der Vertiefungsrichtung Konstruktionstechnik an der Technischen Universität Hamburg und der University of Manchester studiert. Seit 2010 ist er als Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Institut für Laser- und Anlagensystemtechnik der Technischen Universität Hamburg-Harburg in verschiedenen Forschungsprojekten zum Thema Laserstrahlschweißen und laseradditiver Fertigung tätig und promoviert auch in diesem Themenfeld.
In der Laser Zentrum Nord GmbH hat Herr Beckmann seit der Gründung verschiedene leitende Funktionen in der Forschung, dem Projektmanagement sowie dem Vertreib durchlaufen und verantwortet in seiner aktuellen Position als Vertriebsleiter die Akquise und Umsetzung aller bilateraler Industrieprojekte.
Parallel dazu ist Herr Beckmann Gastdozent in der Schweißfachingenieurausbildung der SLV Nord.

Prof. A. Bernard, 57, graduated in 82, PhD in 89, was associate-Professor, from 90 to 96 in Centrale Paris. From Sept. 96 to Oct. 01, he was Professor in CRAN, Nancy I, in the “Integrated Design and Manufacturing” team. Since 0ct. 01, he has been Professor at Centrale Nantes and Dean for Research from 07 to 12. He is researcher in IRCCyN laboratory (UMR CNRS 6597) in the “Systems Engineering –Products-Performances-Perceptions” team. His research topics are KM, PLM, information system modeling, interoperability, enterprise modeling, systems performance assessment, virtual engineering, additive manufacturing. He supervised 30 PhD students. He published more than 250 papers in refereed international journals, books and conferences. He is vice-President of AFPR (French Association on Rapid prototyping and Additive Manufacturing), vice-chairman of WG5.1 of IFIP (Global Product Development for the whole product lifecycle) and member of CIRP Council.

Germán Esteban Muñiz, Senior Chemical Engineer, worked for a decade in water treatment, hydraulic infrastructures and discrete and process manufacturing before joining the European Commission in 2011. He works as Programme Officer at DG Research and Innovation at the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) Directorate. He has managed over €200 million in FP7 EU projects and is an active player in the Horizon 2020 Public-Private Partnerships of Factories of the Future (FoF) and Sustainable Process Industry through Resource and Energy Efficiency (SPIRE). Under H2020, he works in the KETs at the Industrial Leadership pillar and contributes to the Societal Challenge of Climate Action, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials under the European Innovation Partnership on Raw Materials (EIP RM). Mr. Esteban is also the EC contact point and responsible for the Additive Manufacturing Platform, which has recently launched its Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) 2013-2020, highlighting priority areas for future development and the roadmap for AM standardization.

Marco Fey is a political scientist who works as a research associate at the Peace Research Institute Frankfurt (Leibniz Institut Hessische Stiftung Friedens- und Konfliktforschung, HSFK) since 2009. In diesem Zusammenhang werden auch bestehende Methoden der Produktentwicklung auf die Anwendbarkeit der Additiven Fertigungsverfahren untersucht. Er arbeitete in Industrieprojekten sowie in europäischen FP-7 Projekten als auch in Projekten mit der "European Space Agency (ESA)“.

Er entwickelte die Strategie zur Generativen Fertigung bei der MTU und führte Additive Manufacturing ein.
Vor seiner Tätigkeit bei der MTU, leitete er die Market Intelligence Group bei Lufthansa Technik (LHT) in Hamburg, Deutschland. Klaus hielt verschiedene Positionen im Business Development, Marketing und Strategie-Funktionen während seiner 20 Jahre bei LHT.
Klaus Mueller ist ein anerkannter Industrieexperte in den OEM-und MRO-Sektoren der Luft- und Raumfahrt und hat spezifische Kenntnisse in den Bereichen Strategie, Marketing, Technologie, Prozesse und Innovationen.

Jens Pottebaum studied mechanical engineering and computer science at the University of Paderborn. Since then he works as a scientific staff at the chair for Computer Application in Design and Planning in cooperation with the DMRC. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.Ing Johannes Henrich Schleifenbaum is Professor for Digital Additive Production at RWTH Aachen University. Besides this he leads the competence area “Additive Manufacturing and Functional Layers” at Fraunhofer ILT.

With more than 150 employees, this institutes focus on developing additive production process chains and making them available to the industry. These include the development of machines, the planning of AM factories, the development of design and data tools for additive manufacturing, as well as comprehensive consulting services ranging from component consulting all the way to business case assessment for the manufacturing industry. In addition, the researchers in the competence area develop additional laser processes and systems for surface treatment, such as thin film processing, heat treatment and polishing, etc.

Jan T. Sehrt graduated in mechanical engineering in 2005 at the University of Duisburg-Essen. Parts of his studies Sehrt completed abroad in Tipton (UK), Manchester (UK) and Berkeley (USA). In 2010 Sehrt received his PhD on the topic of laser beam Powder Bed Fusion of metals. He is an expert in most NDE technologies with a certified level 2 & 3 in Ultrasonic, Eddy Current & X-Ray.
